"Clean Up Text" is intended as a manually loaded Word Add-In. It offers
a friendly user interface to facilitate cleaning up unwanted leading and
trailing characters in text pasted from the web or removing unwanted
document formatting. You can apply your clean up options to the
selected text, the current text story, or the whole document. |

With the configuration shown above and a press of a button "Clean Up
Text" will quickly convert a mess like this: |

The options in the "Clear Formatting" section replicates the manual
method for clearing formatting:
- CTRL+a (Select all)
- CTRL+q (Reset paragraphs to default style formatting)
- CTRL+spacebar (Reset text to default style font formatting)
- CTRL+Shift+N (Apply Normal style)
Or the Edit>Clear>Formats command in Word 2002 and higher. |

The Add-In is provided here in a zip file format.
You can download "Clean Up Text" to your Word Templates
directory and load it using Tools>Templates and Add-Ins. For more
